PURPOSE:To obtain the titled enamel glaze composition without generation of cracks, hairlines, sponge foam, etc. at an early stage by constituting the composition essentially of an enamel frit, and incorporating terephthalic acid amide into the composition. CONSTITUTION:The raw materials of a desired composition are sufficiently mixed with a dry method. The mixture is then heated and melted at about 1,100-1,300 deg.C, thrown into water and quenched, and dried to obtain an enamel frit. Then (A) 100pts.wt. enamel frit, (B) 0.1-2pts.wt. terephthalic acid amide, (C) 3-9pts.wt. suspending agent, (D) <about 1pts.wt. setting regulating agent, and (E) <about 10pts.wt. pigment are added with water, mixed, and crushed to obtain the enamel glaze composition. When the temp. exceeds about 30 deg.C during said mixing, the terephthalic acid amide is added to the slip after milling.
