<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a picture of an optional color scheme in a short time, by combining at a high speed only designated plural objective colors out of picture patterns transferred from a host computer, etc. against picture patterns to be synthetized being displayed and, at the same time, combining plural binary coded pictures of black and white and distinguishing overlapped areas as different data. CONSTITUTION:Data of picture patterns to be synthesized sent from a host computer, etc., are inputted in an objective color extracting circuit 3 and, when the content of a random access memory in the circuit 3 is read out as address data, colors other than designated ones become ''0'' and are outputted. The output data are inputted in a selection circuit 5 where the data are selected so that the selected ones can be written on the bit plane of a designated frame memroy 4. The selected data are written on each corresponding bit plane of the frame memory 4 through a display controller 7. At the same time, each data of red (R), green (G), and blue (B) corresponding to the picture element data of the frame memory 4 are read out from a preset color lookup table 6 and the read out data are inputted in a color CRT9 after they are digital-to-analog converted at a video processor 8.</p> |
