PURPOSE:To completely automatically perform doffing operation by mounting a yarn cutter on an attachment fixed to a winder and movably disposing a cartridge adapted to push up the cutter and cut a yarn wound round a V-groove coaxially with the attachment. CONSTITUTION:With a paper tube 2 inserted in a winder 1, the winder 1 is rotated to start winding a yarn. In this case, after a yarn 6 is wound round a V-groove 5 of an attachment 4 fixed to the forward end portion of the winder 1, the yarn 6 is wound round the paper tube 2. A fixed amount of yarn 6 is wound round the paper tube to form a cake 3. After forming a cake, the winder 1 is stopped, and a positioned cartridge 12 is docked into the winder 1. Whereupon, the taper forward end portion of the cartridge 12 pushes out a yarn cutter 10 outward along a cutter groove 9 against a spring 11, so that the yarn 6 in the V-groove 5 is cut by the cutter 10, and the paper tube 2 and the cake 3 can be pulled out. |
