The locating centre for accommodating workpieces with countersunk centre holes of large diameter consists of a hemisphere 13 of relatively large diameter mounted on a ball 12 of smaller diameter. On account of the lower friction between the hemisphere 13 and the ball 12, the hemisphere rotates along with the workpiece, and the ball 12 forms with the corresponding receptacle 15 in the hemisphere 13 a spherical pivot bearing of high run-off accuracy. Since the centres of both balls 12, 13 coincide, run-off errors (wobbling) are avoided even if the axes are not in alignment. <IMAGE>
