The explosion-protected, pressure-containing fluorescent lamp lighting fitting serves to illuminate potentially explosive production sites with extreme environmental conditions. The invention pursues the aim of providing an explosion-protected product which eliminates the disadvantages of the known designs. The object is to provide with the new product preconditions which bring the dynamic response, and thus the pressure conditions in the interior of the lighting fitting, into extreme ranges which the selected components can accommodate. The object is achieved according to the invention by including in the containment technique an adaptor having a shaped space divider. The adaptor bears a cable rail and accommodates the inorganic containment in annular cutouts. The space divider consists of the holder and the starter holder, which is embedded in insulating plates. The adaptor, cable rail and inorganic containment form one unit. A stop part mounted in the cap plug is located in the switch space in order to limit the space divider.
