A wall-finishing profile used for forming a blind joint and/or a lighting duct and for receiving the edges of cladding panels or laths. The profile has a profile part which runs horizontally in the use position and which receives the edges of cladding panels or laths. A first rib projects downwards from this profile part, as a result of which the blind joint or lighting duct is formed between the rib and the wall or another profile portion. The edges of the cladding panels or laths are fastened on the profile part (as seen from the wall) outside the first rib. The blind joint can also be provided between the first rib and the outer edge of a wooden floor. The profile can have a further rib of greater height between the first rib and the profile edge or fastening leg (wall leg), which is to face the wall, which further rib specifies the thickness of a plaster layer with respect to the wall.
