In a heating boiler with at least two separately active heating surface regions, for example a radiant heating surface and an economiser, and with connections for feed and return ducts of a heating plant equipped with a circulating pump, the feed duct of which goes out from that heating surface region which has the higher surface temperature in operation, and the return duct of which is connected to the heating surface region which has the lower surface temperature, it is provided that a return channel branches off from the heating water chamber of the heating surface region with the higher surface temperature, e.g. the radiant heating surface, and is led to the heating surface region with the lower surface temperature, e.g. the economiser, and is connected to it in the region of the connection of the return duct.
<??>A circulation between the different regions of a heating boiler is thereby automatically achieved, even when the action of a circulating pump is no longer present.
