PURPOSE:To contrive the improvement in solubility, photoconductivity, stability, and shelf-life property, by directly binding sensitizing components with a photoconductive polymer. CONSTITUTION:The photoconductive polymer with which a planar cyclic complex binds is a polyvinylcarbazole series polymer, i.e. the homopolymer or copolymer of 9N-vinylcarbazole. In the case of copolymer, the comonomer is preferred to have a donor radical: a kind or more of polyacrylic nitrile, polystyrene, methyl polyacrylate, polymaleic anhydride, and the like is suitable. No particular restriction is necessary for the planar cyclic ligand of the planar cyclic metal complex; any of (1) an N4 type such as porphyrin, azaporphyrin, porphyrazin, or annulene; (2) an N2O2 type such as Schiff base; (3) an N2S2 type of such as diacetyldithiobenzidrazone is available, where among them phthalocyanine is most suitable with regard to the photoconductivity. |
