PURPOSE:To obtain an easily-transportable, built-up type pipe body by forming plural pipe members in a state of dividing a pipe body in its circumferential direction and providing projections standing outward from the members to both side end of pipe body throughout its whole length and making the opposite projections of the adjoining menbers joinable. CONSTITUTION:A die 52 made dividable by providing recessing grooves 56 oppositely to annular waves 54 in the axial direction is supported by an axis 66; after a plastic material is encapsulated therein to melt it by heating, a plastic is coated on the inner surface 54 of die 52 to be driven rotationally, to solidify the plastic by cooling. The formed plastic taken out from the die 52, is cut at the corner parts 70 of joining parts 68, having each a U-shaped cross section which joins pipe-material parts 10, 10 together to form the parts 68 into the shaped of projecting edges 14, 20. In this way, a pipe body capable of being easily transported and built up can be manufactured.
