PURPOSE:To prevent the formation of soot and to ensure high image quality by melting and extruding a composition prepd. by dispersing titanium dioxide in polyolefin in the presence of a metallic salt of 20-46C higher fatty acid onto base paper. CONSTITUTION:A polyolefin composition prepd. by dispersing a titanium dioxide pigment in polyolefin in the presence of a metallic salt of 20-46C higher fatty acid is melted and extruded from a slit die onto traveling base paper in the form of a film to manufacture a support for photographic printing paper. The base paper is paper made from natural pulp or synthetic fiber or synthetic paper made of a synthetic resin film. The higher fatty acid is behenic acid, tricosanic acid, lignoceric acid or the like, and Li, Na, K, Mg, Ca or Zn is suitable for use as a metal forming the metallic salt. |
