<p>PURPOSE:To reduce noise accompanied with leakage of intake-air or the like, by wrapping a molded member made of sound absorbing materials, around the outer periphery of the coupling section between a pipe member constituting a part of an intake- air device or the like in an internal combustion engine and another member. CONSTITUTION:One pipe member 10 is formed with a large diameter section 11 by being enlarged in one end section thereof. Further, the other pipe member 12 is secured with a seal collar guide 13, leaving the end section 12a of the pipe member 12, which is made abut against the end face of the large diameter section 11 while the end section 12 of the other pipe member 12 is fitted into the large diameter section 11 of the one pipe member 10. A seal collar 14 which is a ring-like molded member is fitted onto and secured, by means of a bonding agent 15, to the outer peripheries of the large diameter section 11 and the seal collar guide 13. In this arrangement the seal collar 14 is formed of a molded member and provided on its inner side with a porous layer 14a which has a low density and is excellent in sound absorption and on its outer side with a hard material layer 14b which has a high density and which is excellent in sound shielding ability.</p> |
