PURPOSE:To simplify the structure by providing a cover opening and closing member, which is displaced in accordance with a dustproof cover and can be moved in the direction of an optical axis together with a photographic lens, and an engaging means which is engaged with the cover opening and closing member to open and close the dustproof cover. CONSTITUTION:A focal length selecting member 105 which switches the focal length of a photographic optical system and opens and closes a dustproof cover 102 is provided on the upper face of a camera body 1 so that if can be always operated. Turning of this focal length selecting member 105 is transmitted to a crank lever 116 through an eccentric pin 115 to shake an engaging pin 117 stood on one arm 116a of the crank lever 116, and as the result, a shake lever 113 is turned to open or close the dustproof cover 102. Consequently, a photographic lens barel is stored in the camera body when the camera is carried, and the structure is simplified very much and is made compact.
