PURPOSE:To obtain a black color forming diazo fixing type thermal recording element forming a color at high density and excellent in image preservability against light, by together using a specific coupler compound as the coupler compound of a photosensitive heat-sensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:In a diazo fixing type thermal recording layer wherein a photosensitive heat-sensitive layer based on a diazonium salt, a coupler compound and a fine granular dispersion of an org. basic compound as a developer is provided on a support, as the coupler compound, a compound selected from ones represented by general formulae ( I ), (II) (wherein both of R1 and R5 are a hydrogen atom or either one of them is a methyl group, R2, R3 and R4 are respectively a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, a phenoxy group, a cyclic alkyl group or an aralkyl group. R5 and R7 are respectively independently selected from a group consisting of hydrogen, an alkyl group and an alkoxy group and R8 is an 1-6C alkylene group or a p-phenylene-bis-methylene group) is used as a fine granular dispersion. |
