Heat-sensitive transfer material

A heat-sensitive transfer material is proposed in which a first ink layer and a second ink layer in the stated sequence are provided on a support. The two ink layers contain heat-fusible binders. The second ink layer has a greater cohesive force than the first ink layer. At least one of the two ink layers contains a colorant. In addition, a third ink layer may be applied to the second ink layer. The second ink layer then has a melt viscosity and a cohesive force which are significantly greater than the corresponding values for the first and third ink layers.
