PURPOSE:To show clearly the existence of confusing homonyms by storing the additional information to decide whether or not the presence of other homonyms is informed to the KANJI (Chinese character) display of homonyms in a KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI conversion dictionary and displaying the result of conversion together with the additional information. CONSTITUTION:A processor 2 including a KANA/KANJI conversion part converts a KANA character string supplied from an input device 1 into corresponding KANJI after retrieving an independent word dictionary stored in an independent word dictionary memory 3 for KANA/KANJI conversion. Then a KANA-KANJI sentence is delivered. The result of said conversion is stored to a buffer 5. The memory 3 contains a homonym display flag memory area and sets flag ''1'' for the homonyms which are easily forgotten by other devices. The boundary between paragraph candidates is divided with a dividing symbol mark and displayed, and the division set before the homonym where ''1'' is set up is shown with discrimination from other marks. Therefore an operator receives an alarm with a display of the dividing mark only in case the homonyms are easily overlooked. This can prevent previously a selection error of homonyms. |
