PURPOSE:To eliminate the staining of a heat head due to toner and to reproduce an image of high quality by applying a magnetic layer having high magnetic permeability with a magnetic field whose direction is opposite to the magnetization direction of a ferromagnetic layer, and forming an opposite-directional part in the ferromagnetic layer. CONSTITUTION:Read image information is stored in an image memory 29f and transferred by up to one line to a head driving part 27 from the memory 29f with a recording start button on a console 30, and the heat generating resistor in a heat head array 18 generates heat to heat the high magnetic permeability layer 12 of a magnetic recording body 10 selectively. Therefore, when the array 18 is driven, only the layer 12 right under the heating resistor in operation becomes paramagnetic and the magnetic field at the part right under the resistor flows detouring to the side of the ferromagnetic layer 13 like a magnetic path. The layer 13 is magnetized in the magnetic field produced by a magnet 19 according to an image signal, and the magnetization direction is opposite to the direction of the permanent magnet 17; and this magnetization is carried out selectively according to the image information to form a magnetic latent image successively. |
