<p>PURPOSE:To obtain easily a very flat yarn prepreg by passing a strand of reinforced fiber impregnated with B-stage thermosetting resin between a pair of press rolls one of which is heated to be flattened. CONSTITUTION:The reinforced fiber 2 such as glass fiber etc. in the form of strand is dipped in a resin bath 3 to be impregnated with melted B-stage thermosetting resin. This strand 2 of reinforced fiber is passed through a heater 4 to remove the solvent in the resin, then, passed through the pair of press rolls 5 composed of a heated roll 6 and a nip roll 7 and heated, pressed and flattened to obtain the titled yarn prepreg.</p> |
