PURPOSE:The titled foam, obtained by incorporating red phosphorus with a phenolic resin, having remarkably improved flame retardancy without causing deterioration in expansion ratio, etc., and corresponding to the quasi-noncombustible class. CONSTITUTION:A phenolic resin foam obtained by incorporating 1-9wt% red phosphorus with a phenolic resin. Preferably, the red phosphorus having >=120 mesh particle size is used.
