PURPOSE:To enhance the adhesive property between the active material and the lattice structure of the captioned battery so as to obtain the plate of long life- time, by mixing the active material to fill the lattice structure of the plate with plated synthetic resin fibers. CONSTITUTION:Active material filling lattice of the plate for a lead storage battery is mixed with plated synthetic resin fibers. The above-mentioned synthetic fibers shall be for instance, electrolessly-plated polyolefin fibers or polyester fibers, with the diameter of several microns, the length of several mm.. Thereby, the adhesive property between the active material and the lattice structure which is defective in the Ca-Pb alloy can be enhanced, and the life-time of the lead storage battery can be prolonged by preventing the falling-off of the active material. |
