PURPOSE:To obtain an accurate erasure range during multistage control by providing a light shield member whose movement extent depends upon magnification and transfer paper size between a light emitting means and a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:An unnecessary charge on the photosensitive drum is removed with an erasure lamp 30 between exposure and development, and the proper position of the light shield member 45 which controls the erasure range is operated by a CPU from the magnification and transfer paper size. The light shield member is a heat-resisting film divided into a transparent and a blackened part, and the light shield member is moved to the proper position by a pulse motor 48 on the basis of the boundary of respective parts detected by a sensor 50. |
