The position of the holes of the hub is detected by a positioning needle (9), lowered under the action of a jack (14) and being inserted into one of the holes to bring it into a predetermined position. The needle is then withdrawn for threading the spokes. The invention applies to methods for automatically threading spokes of spoke wheels.
