PURPOSE:To miniaturize the size of a printing head by a method in which an U-shaped hole is provided in a vertical spring part, an armature with a printing head is attached to the projection at the center of the U-shaped hole, and the armature is driven toward the direction of right angle to the flexion of the spring. CONSTITUTION:An armature 10 with a printing wire mover and a vertical spring part 8 for drive are set in such a way that the flexing direction of the spring part 8 is almost right-angled to the moving direction of the armature 10. In this case, a nearly U-shaped hole 9 and a central projection 8b are provided to the spring part 8 whose lower end 8a is attached to the fixing part. The armature 10 is attached to the fitting part 8c by vertically turning its upper flat face 10a to the spring part 8. The miniaturization of the printing head can thus be made possible and the reliability can be raised. The structure can withstand the repeating printing of several-billion dots.
