It comprises a vessel (2), a basket (3) and electrical heating elements (4), the heating part of which is immersed in the oil contained in the vessel. These heating elements (4) are supplied with electrical energy by a control device housed in a box (5) outside the vessel. At least the heating part of each heating element (4) is housed inside a heat distributor (8) made of a material which is a good heat conductor, in direct contact with the heating part of the heating element (4) and providing a large surface area for coming into contact with the oil contained in the vessel thus avoiding any overheating of the latter. <IMAGE>
