PURPOSE:To detect data absence and a data error at a transmission side by sending unit data together with additional order data and sending back the order data. CONSTITUTION:Four-bit data (0, 1, 2...n) is added to each unit data by an editing means 2 and the resulting data is stored in memory 3. Then, eight-bit data (order data plus unit data) is read out of the memory 3 to a register 4 and then transferred from the register 4 to a reception-side register 21. The received eight-bit data is sent back as it is from the reception side through a register 22. Simultaneously, the eight bits are stored in memory 23 on the basis of the order data in the eight received bits. The transmission side checks the data sent back to a register 5 through a checking means 6. |
