发明名称 FOUR WHEEL STEERING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate an understeering characteristic generated in a vehicle, by decreasing a rear wheel steering ratio when a lateral acceleration detected by a lateral acceleration sensor exceeds a predetermined acceleration. CONSTITUTION:During a vehicle runs at an extremely los speed, the urging force of a spring 20c disposed in a steering angle regulating device 20 is set larger than the urging force of a return 14e due to operation of an actuator 20d. Therefore, a piston 20b is difficult to move outward even though hydraulic pressure is effected in an oil chamber 20a, and oil discharged from a front cylinder 7 is fed through a same/reverse phase changeover unit 16 to cylinders 14, 15 so that rear wheels are operated in the reverse phase direction to effect a small sharp turn of the vehicle. As the vehicle speed is increased, the urging force of the spring 20c is decreased since the actuator 20d is controlled by a controller 23, and therefore, variation in the volume of the rear cylinder is decreased by the front cylinder 7 to change the steering ratio in its decreasing direction.
