PURPOSE:To take an accurate measurement by mounting a guide body equipped with a measuring instrument body on a base body fixed to a rail, running and rotating the measuring instument body along this guide body, and the displacement extent of a rail tread surface. CONSTITUTION:A rail tread surface measuring device consists of the base body 2, guide body 3, and measuring instrument body 5; the base plate 7 of the base body 2 pierces the bottom surface of the rail 6 and the leg part 6a of the rail 6 is clamped fixedly with side blocks of the base plate 7. A knock pin 13 on the block 7a is allowed to engage with the leg block 16a of the guide body 3 which covers the head part 6b of the rail 6, and the other block 16b has no engagement with the pin 13. Further, the main body 5 is mounted movably by rolling the roller 22 of its case 21 on the guide body 3, the contactor 37a of its displacement detecting gauge 27 is brought into contact with the rail 6, and the main body 5 is moved by a driving device 25, so that its rotational extent is measured by a rotational angle detector 26. |
