PURPOSE:To arrange so that ink may be stably supplied regardless of the types of ink by providing a configuration to supply ink to the tip of a needle through utilization of Coulomb's force. CONSTITUTION:A pair of conductor electrodes 30, 31 opposed to each other with a needle 20 set in between are arranged near the tip of a needle 20 as an ink supply means, and a slit 32 between the aforementioned electrodes 30, 31 is extended into ink 29 of an ink tank 34. If voltage is applied between the conductor electrodes 30, 31 opposed to each other by a power supply 35, an electric field generates inside the slit 32. The ink 29 is guided to the slit 32 and sucked up by the Coulomb's force brought to bear by the electric field, and is caused to run around to the tip of the needle 20 and retained there. Under this configuration, a nozzle-shaped recording electrode need not be used and only simple components are required without any concern about clogging and also a pressure control mechanism. |
