PURPOSE:To improve the discharge characteristic of a solid electrolyte battery by using a vitreous solid electrolyte composed of lithium oxide (Li2O), germanium dioxide (GeO2) and lithium iodide (LiI). CONSTITUTION:After Li2O, GeO2 and LiI are pulverized and dried, the thus prepared powders are mixed in a given molar ratio. Next, the mixture is vacuum packed in a quartz glass ampoule which is then heated in an electric furnace at 1,000 deg.C for 20min. Before being rapidly cooled, thereby obtaining a vitreous solid electrolyte. |
