PURPOSE:To widen the range of speed change, by securing, to a belt-like endless flexible carrier, block members which are linked together in a row and which are frictionally engaged with a pulley, so that a large torque may be transmitted and as well the minimum turning radius may be made small. CONSTITUTION:In an endless belt for power transmission, a plurality of block members 12 which are linked together in a row are attached to a ring-like endless carrier 11. Each block member 12 is composed of a body member 13 formed at its both sides with inclined surfaces 13b, 13b that are frictionally engaged with the peripheral groove of a pulley, and a plate-like fastening member 14. The endless carrier 11, the body member 13 and the fastening member 14 are fastened together with rivets 25 piercing therethrough. The endless carrier 13 is so arranged that its center line y-y substantially aligns with the mid-positions (o, o) of the inclined surfaces 13b, 13b of the body member 13, thereby torque may be transmitted, smoothly. |
