PURPOSE:To improve running performance, such as straight advancing ability, by a method wherein, in a left steering device in which the steering angle of rear wheels is varied, a steer change based on a change in suspension stroke during running is deleted through control of a rear wheel steering angle. CONSTITUTION:During running of a vehicle, by means of output signals from a front wheel steering angle sensor 13 and other sensors, rear wheel steering information d0 is obtained by a computer 12. From detecting signals s1, and s2 proportioning a suspension stroke detected by stroke sensors 21 and 22 on the rear wheels side, based on data previously determined by a steer amount calculating process, the size of a steer amount responding to said stroke and steer amount data d1 and d2 are obtained, and thereafter, from the two data d1 and d2, the control information d3 for deleting said steer amount is obtained. According to control information d3 determined by adding steering information d0 and the control information d3, an actuator 8 for rear wheel steering is controlled. |
