PURPOSE:To give a tyre crown proper flexibility for improving the camber thrust, the controllability and the comfortableness of an associated motorcycle, by providing a specific reinforcing layer on the outside of carcass plies and a specific bead apex in a bead section. CONSTITUTION:The carcass of a tyre 1 is formed with two plies 5 and 6, each end of which is folded inside around a bead core 7 and terminates at a bead section 4 or a side wall section 3. In each ply 5 and 6, codes are arranged at an angle of 20 deg.-70 deg. with respect to the circumferential direction of the tyre 1. A reinforcing layer 8 is interposed between a bead apex 9 and the outermost of the plies 5 and 6 such that both ends terminate there. Codes of the reinforcing layer 8 are arranged at an angle of 20 deg.-80 deg. with respect to the circumferential direction of the tyre 1. The bead apex 9 is extended from the upper side of the bead core 7 toward the side wall section 3, while the height of its upper end is set in the range of 30-80% of the height of the tyre side section and the JLS hardness thereof is set in the range from 75 deg.-95 deg.. |
