The invention refers to a machine for cutting square logs (1) from round logs using rotating knives (2, 3), in front of which a set of a pair on each side of a log to be cut, pressed against the log, dyne-equipped wheel (4) for the log which is to be cut. The machine contains two pairs of knives (2, 3) which are arranged immediately after each other and whose axles form a 90 degree angle, and a set of log guiding rollers (4) consisting of at least one pair of pulling wheels (5) with dyne-equipped surrounds, after which are arranged track-like sets of pairs of guiding rollers (6), which all move themselves in a crosswise direction and follow the thickness of the log during cutting, by which the stock is moved forward while it is cut.<IMAGE> |
