On V-engines equipped with camshafts arranged next to each other which are driven by the engine's drive shaft via a camshaft transmission, the camshaft's direction of rotation is made independent of the engine's direction of rotation if the camshaft transmission contains two, the same distance from the centre of the drive axel (12), symmetrically around the symmetry line (10') between the camshafts (12, 13) and drive-axel centre alternative bearings are set-up (14, 15) for mounting of a primary pinion/secondary pinion (5/6) and a middle cog-wheel (7) where the primary pinion (5) shall always be in operation with one of the engine axel-shaft's primary pinion (4) while the secondary pinion (6) shall always be in operation with one of the camshaft's secondary pistons shall always be in operation with the middle cog-wheel (7) and one of the camshaft's secondary pistons (12, 13) while the other secondary camshaft piston (13, 12) shall be in operation with the middle cog wheel.<IMAGE> |
