摘要 |
PURPOSE:To subject the liquid Na which is used as a coolant in an atomic reactor and is contaminated by radiations to stabilization treatment as amalgam by flowing downward the Na in the state of a thin film at a specified rate and joining Hg likewise in the state of a thin film therewith. CONSTITUTION:Plural pipings 4 are provided in a liquid Na reservoir 10 provided with an overflow pipe 9 and Na is flowed downward from the apertures thereof always at a specified rate in the state of a thin film from nozzles 5 onto the inclined flat plates 2 in a reaction chamber 1. Always a specified rate of Hg is also flowed down from nozzles 8 onto the plates 2 by the pipings 7 of a device 6 for distributing the flow rate of Hg having an overflow pipe 13. The thin film-like downflow material of the liquid Na and Hg is uniformly mixed on the surface of the plates 2 by which the amalgam of Na is formed and is stored in the bottom of the chamber 1. The amalgam is discharged from a discharging pipe 16 and the liquid Na contaminated with radiations is subjected to the stabilization treatment as amalgam.
