PURPOSE:To obtain a synthetic resin lens superior in durability by coating the surface of a lens with a coating compsn., composed of a modified melamine type resin compsn. and an urethane resin to form a hard coat layer, and forming a reflection inhibiting layer on it. CONSTITUTION:An intended synthetic resin lens is obtained by preferably preliminarily condensing (A) the precondensate between one of diols represented by formulae I and II, (m), (n) being 2-6, with fine silica particles, again with (B) methylolmelamine having a part or the total of its methylol groups etherified with alkyl, then dissolving it in a solvent, mixing the obtained modified melamine type resin compsn. with an urethane type resin composed of block-type isocyanate and polyol, coating the surface of the lens with this coating compsn. to form a hard coat layer, and forming a multilayer-structure reflection inhibiting film made of metal oxide on this layer. |
