PURPOSE:To obtain homogeneous and mass-productive molding material by molding short fiber reinforced resin in an extrusion molding machine into core material, subsequently, extruding long fiber, continuously wrapping the long fiber around the core material, further coating the long fiber obtained with matrix resin in the extrusion molding machine. CONSTITUTION:Short fiber reinforced resin (BMC) mainly composed of unhardened substance of thermosetting resin and reinforced short fiber is inputted into the material supply port 15 of the extrusion molding machine 4 to extrude and mold the core material 6 continuously with the die 5. The reinforced layers 7a, 7b composed of long fiber which have been arranged previously in the longitudinal direction are wrapped around the extruded core material 6 with an angle to the progressive direction of the core material 6 so that the reinforced layers 7a, 7b cross each other. As the matrix of long fiber, thermosetting resin need be laminated respectively on the core material 6 wrapped up in the reinforced layers 7a, 7b and in the extruders 10a, 10b to supply reinforced layer resin through the dies 11a, 11b. The molding material wrapped up in the reinforced layers is fed by a take-up unit 12 at a constant speed and cut by the cutter 13 to a specified length. |
