PURPOSE:To improve luminous intensity while reducing cost by eliminating a thin film electrode on a display pattern. CONSTITUTION:A conductive thin film of aliminum or the like is formed on a light transmitting insulation substrate while forming wiring and display electrodes 2 and 2' through photoetching. The display electrodes 2 and 2' are so formed that a thin film electrode is kept so that the periphery of a display pattern may be generally about 0.1-0.5mm. while completely removing the electrode part corresponding to the display pattern through photoetching. Next, an insulation layer 3 is formed so as to be partly on the display electrodes 2 and 2' while removing the display part. Further, a phosphor material 4 is evenly applied and formed so as to cover the whole display pattern while being partly on the display electrodes 2 and 2' formed on the outer periphery of the display pattern. Subsequently, the grids 5 and a filament 6 are by turns constituted while tightly sealing the whole. |
