PURPOSE:To obtain a color liq. crystal display panel of high quality with superior color reproducibility by forming a dielectric layer consisting of parts having different thicknesses corresponding to color filters on an electrode. CONSTITUTION:A liq. crystal layer 11 is held between substrates 1, 3 having electrodes 32, 13 and orienting layers 10, 12, respectively. At this time, color filters 34 corresponding to the three primary colors R (red), G (green), B (blue) are formed on the substrate 1, and a dielectric layer 33 consisting of parts having different thicknesses is formed on the electrode 32 on the substrate 1. The thicknesses tR, tG, tB correspond to the color filters R, G, B, and they are increased (tR>tG>tB) in accordance with an increase in selected wavelengths (R, G, B). |
