PURPOSE:To economically build a huge caisson, by a method wherein concrete is placed to build side walls for connection of them to the upper part of a caisson floating on a water surface, and the upper opening of the side wall bodies is sealed with a cover, the caisson is turned sideways 90 deg., and a similar process is further repeated. CONSTITUTION:After a caisson 2 of concrete having an ordinary size is brought to flotation on a water surface W and moored by means of a anchor, concrete is placed to form side walls 4 for connection of them to the caisson. After the upper opening of the side wall bodies 4 is sealed with a cover 6, ballast water 5' is poured into only the one side to turn sideways the caisson 2 90 deg., and the ballast water 5 is further poured to stabilize the caisson 2. Thereafter, a similar process is repeated, where necessary, to construct a huge caisson. |
