PURPOSE:To cause a rotating head to exactly follow a record track by changing an inclination more moderately of a period when the rotating head jumps from an end terminal position to a start terminal position of the record track on a tape for a period of the back side than a period of the front side to erase a residual singing. CONSTITUTION:A current is obtained from a current generator circuit 21, which forms an inclination part EX during a period PX when a head 2 of a sawtooth voltage ESS, which is integrated by an integration circuit 23 and is to be given to a bimorph plate 13, scans from the start terminal position to the end terminal position of the record track on the tape. A current is obtained from a current generator circuit 22, which forms an inclination part Ea whose inclination is steep and an inclination part Eb whose inclination is moderate within a period Py when the head 2 of a voltage ESS jumps from the end terminal position to the start terminal position of the record track on the tape, by being integrated by a circuit 23, thereby enabling residual ringing of the rotating head to be decreased remarkably during variable reproduction.
