<p>PURPOSE:To use both of faces A and B with simple constitution and to prevent unexpected opening by constituting a tape cassette with a cassette body having an aperture part on one side face, a U-shaped cover which is turned upward and downward to open and close the aperture part, and a protective plate which covers the side part of this cover. CONSTITUTION:The rear end part of side part 5 of a U-shaped cover 4 is projected into a cassette positioning hole 16, and a protective plate 17 is extended from the side face of a cassette body 1 so as to cover the side part 5 of the cover 4. The cover 4 is fitted between projecting edges 18 provided in upper and lower edges of a cassette aperture face to stop turning of the cover 4. Though it is necessary to take off the cover 4 from the aperture face for the purpose of opening the cover of the cassette, the closed cover cannot be opened because the protective plate 17 covers the side part 5 of the cover. When the cassette is set to a device, a cassette positioning member stood on the device side is inserted to the positioning hole 16, and the rear end of the side part of the cover is pressed by the cassette positioning member to release automatically the detaining state, and the cover can be turned upward and downward.</p> |
