The upholstery system comprises a seat cushion of polyether foam weighing at least 30 kg per cu.metre, or polyurethane foam weighing at least 38 kg per cu. metre; a back cushion of polyether foam weighing at least 17 kg per cu.metre; and stitched textile, leather or artificial leather covers over both cushions. - Covering mats are secured to the cushions at the top by a sliding clasp nylon fastener with metal slide, and at the bottom by self-adhesive strips of woven plastic forming a hook-clasp fastener. They are of high-grade polyester wadding with a distortion resistance of 70% forming the core, and covers of textile, leather or artificial leather.
