PURPOSE:To prevent flashing of a metallic pipe and to stick uniformly solder to the inside circumferential surface thereof by connecting the metallic pipe via a valve to an air supply source and blowing off air from the end of the metallic pipe so that the inside of the pipe can be opened to the atm. CONSTITUTION:The expanded end 2a of a metallic pipe 2 is dipped into the molten solder in a bath vessel 4 for solder provided with a heater 3 and the oscillating diaphragm 6 of an ultrasonic oscillator 5. The other end of the pipe 2 is connected via a joint 13, a solenoid valve 9, a reducing valve 10, etc. to an air compressor 11 and while the valve 9 is held closed, a port 9a is opened to the atm. side to permit easy intrusion of the molten solder into the pipe 2. The pipe 2 is thereafter pulled up and the valve 9 is opened to supply a large amt. of compressed air from the compressor 11 to the inside of the pipe 2 and to blow off the air from the end, thereby blowing away the solder sagging from the end and preventing the solder from flashing. |
