In the rotary switch, a middle or central shaft and a driven element are provided, which element rotates about a shaft which is arranged differently from the middle shaft, as well as an adjusting element or a pivoting part, essentially in the form of an L and arranged on the same shaft but not on the shaft for the driven element, and a rotary spring is furthermore provided between the driven element and the adjusting element, in such a manner that this spring is located essentially at right angles to the plane of rotation of the driven element and of the adjusting element.
