To create a stable sail area greatly enlarged towards the top compared with conventional surfing sails, a second wishbone boom which permits additional trimming of the sail is arranged in the top part of the rig. Due to the sail area thereby obtained, the bottom wishbone boom can be considerably shortened compared with a conventional rig with the same sail area. Among other things, the user is thereby presented with possibilities, closed until now, of manipulating a rig without this involving an increase in the weight of the rig.
