A high-speed speed- and output-controlled wind energy converter having a vertical driven shaft, whose optimum rotor output is approximately proportional to the third power of the wind speed and the rotor speed, drives a heat pump screw compressor on the suction side, said compressor being controlled by a slide valve, being cooled by oil injection and having vertically arranged screw rotors, and in combination therewith a circulation pump for brine or ground water. A centrifugal governor rotating with the screw rotor driveshaft in the compressor intake housing adjusts the regulating slide valve via a lever bar in such a way that the compressor output is matched to that of the wind energy converter. A tubular-shaft three-phase motor arranged coaxially about the compressor driveshaft makes it possible to operate the heat pump even during prolonged lulls. A brushless generator, whose continuous rotor shaft forms the lower end of the vertical wind energy converter driven shaft, also makes it possible to harness wind energy electrically. The present system is intended mainly to provide energy for free-standing domestic accommodation. |
