A tool holder for screw-on cutting tips has a key corresponding to a groove in the cutting tip. A cutting tip which can be screwed onto tool holders has a groove corresponding to a key on the tool holder. A cutting tool comprising this tool holder and this cutting tip guarantees the interchangeability of cutting tips with different cutting geometries and the positive connection between the tool holder and the cutting tip furthermore ensures the safe acceptance of high clamping pressures.
