A spectacle bow hinge consists of two hinge parts which can be plugged elastically into and above one another. The contact surfaces of the two hinge parts are gripped by frictional resistance when the spectacle bows are folded together and have complementary projections/cutouts which permit the swivel motion to lock home at least in the two end positions of the spectacle bows. <IMAGE>
