PURPOSE:To prevent deteriorating of the linearity of one horizontal line by controlling vertical deflecting positions of respective electronic beams while red, green and blue phosphors are emitting light. CONSTITUTION:A vertical deflecting counter utilized by a vertical deflecting drive circuit is deleted, addresses A0-A10 in a memory 27 are supplied from a horizontal deflecting counter 28, and a vertical deflecting drive circuit is made to the same constitution as that of a horizontal deflecting drive circuit. Thus vertical deflecting voltages can be adjusted during the period when switching pulses r1, g1, b1, r2, g2, and b2 are added from a switching pulse generator circuit, and vertical deflecting voltages v and v' are generated, thereby adjusting vertical deflecting position at every one line. Moreover, respective vertical deflecting positions of video signals R1, G1, R2, G2 and B2 equivalent to two picture elements when one line is segments into prescribed numbers can be optionally adjusted.
