PURPOSE:To prevent lengthening in axial direction by supporting first and second weights rotatably on the fixing tables secured respectively to the shaft and cam tube and performing combined lead angle driving of lead and lag angles by means of first and second weights through spring. CONSTITUTION:A timing lever 8 is arranged between a first weight supporting table 2 arranged on a shaft 1 and a second weight supporting table 10. The lead angle at initial stage is driven by a first weight 5 and first spring 19 while the lag angle due to a second weight 14 and second spring 20 is functioned simultaneously with lead angle drive through the first weight 5 and first spring 19 at the second stage to achieve combined lead angle. Then the third stage lead angle is achieved in step. Consequently, various lead angle characteristics can be achieved through simple structure resulting in shortening of axial length. |
